About Me

IMG_3804.jpg

Hi! My name is Ravia. I am currently working as a senior health specialist on the player health team at the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC)

Previously, I was a researcher at lululemon, working in wellbeing and fitness innovation. I'm interested and experienced in health innovation, inclusive design, digital health, user research, behavioural science and project management.

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia in 2020 and my Master of Public Health from the University of Waterloo in 2023. Coursework and my research experience, combined with my passion for fine arts led me to explore the fields of human-centred design and user experience. I am intrigued by human behaviour, the brain and the intersection of psychology and technology.

I have also worked on the development and evaluation of a digital mental health tool at the University of British Columbia and BC Children's Hospital Research Institute.

I am a watercolour and gouache artist and I practice yoga, music, and dance. I like to bring forth a creative perspective to all facets of my life and hope to continue to build a career in the interconnected areas of art, health and technology.
